The last quarter of this year is just flying by, leaving us to contemplate how COVID-19 has impacted our productivity or lack of progress. Socrates once said, "The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” S.H.A.R.E. Community launched at the height of a pandemic and created OASIS- the new-to-Antioch mobile shower program that provides toilets, hot showers, and in partnership with White Pony Express - clothing, to the unhoused members of our community.
While many are vacillating over how they'll get through these trying times or how they can help the forgotten, the hurting, the cold- S.H.A.R.E. Community just "does." Ultimately, that is what it is all about- Love Does (Take the time to read this awe-inspiring book written by Bob Goff). We cannot continue to stand idly by as our brothers and sisters' calls fall upon deaf ears. We must change the narrative of helplessness and lend a hand wherever we can.
